Why start your car loan enquiry here?
Five details now. Supporting documents only if they are needed later.
We review the situation before any formal lender application is made.
Different lenders treat credit history, income, visas and vehicles differently.
What happens after you enquire?
Tell us how much you need and the best way to contact you.
We look at possible car-finance pathways for the information provided.
A broker contacts you to clarify the situation and discuss possible next steps.
Income, ID or vehicle information may be requested for a particular lender.
You decide whether a lender option is suitable before a formal application.
If approved, the lender issues documents and the finance can proceed to settlement.
Will this initial enquiry affect my credit score?
No. Submitting this initial enquiry to GPS Finance does not itself create a lender credit enquiry. If you decide to proceed with a formal lender application, the selected lender may conduct a credit check.
Does the 6.49% “from” rate apply to everyone?
No. It is a limited-time rate available only on selected lender products for eligible borrowers. Your actual rate may be higher depending on credit profile, income, vehicle, loan amount and term. We will not assume the advertised floor is your rate.
Can I still enquire if I have defaults, missed payments or a previous decline?
Yes. Different lenders assess credit history differently. Eligibility and pricing depend on the full circumstances and lender policy, so the aim is to check fit before another formal application.
Do I need a deposit?
Not for every lender or transaction. A deposit can reduce the amount financed and may strengthen the structure, but lender rules vary. Keep enough cash for insurance, registration and other ownership costs rather than assuming every dollar must become a deposit.
Can you help with a new car, used car, dealer purchase or private sale?
Potentially. New and used vehicles, dealer purchases and private-sale transactions can all be considered, subject to lender and vehicle eligibility. Private-sale transactions may require additional seller, ownership and valuation checks.
I’m casual, on probation or just started a new job — can I still enquire?
Yes. Employment type and tenure are lender-specific. Prior employment history, income already received, occupation and the amount being financed can all matter.
Do I need to have chosen the car already?
No. You can start with the amount you expect to need. If you have found the vehicle already, tell the broker because the seller, age, value and vehicle type can affect lender fit.
What documents might I need?
ID and income evidence are commonly required. Vehicle, seller, payout or bank-statement information may also be needed depending on the transaction and lender.
How quickly will I know if there is a realistic pathway?
Once we have the basics, a broker can identify which lender pathways are worth investigating. Formal approval and settlement timing then depend on the selected lender, documents and vehicle.
